Né en France et naturalisé canadien en 2006, Jean-Claude Sensemat est président-fondateur de Gestion Geneen Inc. Initialement orientée vers l’investissement financier et immobilier en Amérique du Nord, Gestion Geneen Inc. est devenue, depuis 2024, une société exclusivement dédiée à la gestion des actifs de la famille Sensemat, à la suite d’un changement dans la structure familiale.
🔧 Il débute sa carrière en 1970 en créant une entreprise d’import-export d’outillage, devenue en 25 ans un leader européen, qui exporte dans 70 pays.
🕰 En 1990, il rachète la marque horlogère LIP, qu’il relance avec succès avant de la revendre en 2016.
🌍 De 1991 à 2007, il est Conseiller du Commerce Extérieur de la France, puis nommé consul honoraire de la République d'Albanie en 2002.
🎖 Décoré de l’Ordre national du Mérite à 38 ans, puis de la Légion d’honneur à 45 ans.
📚 Auteur de six ouvrages, il fonde Éditions Duroi au Québec et dirige plusieurs publications en France. En 2023, il publie Le Pionnier, récit de ses aventures dans le monde des affaires. L’ouvrage est aussi disponible en anglais, audio et numérique.
🏢 En 2018, il s’associe au centre d’affaires haut de gamme 1188 Union Inc. à Montréal. Ses placements, en partenariat avec des experts, se développent dans les secteurs boursier et immobilier.
💔 En 2024, il perd tragiquement son fils unique, Laurent, à l’âge de 39 ans dans un accident de la route. Collaborateur essentiel et père de trois enfants, Laurent demeure une source quotidienne d’inspiration.

Born in France and naturalized Canadian in 2006, Jean-Claude Sensemat is the Founder and President of Gestion Geneen Inc. Originally focused on financial and real estate investments in North America, Gestion Geneen Inc. has become, since 2024, a company solely dedicated to managing the assets of the Sensemat family following a change in family structure.
🔧 He began his career in 1970 by creating a tool import-export business that, within 25 years, became a European leader, exporting to 70 countries.
🕰 In 1990, he acquired the iconic French watch brand LIP, successfully revitalizing it before selling it in 2016.
🌍 From 1991 to 2007, he served as a French Foreign Trade Advisor and was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Albania in 2002.
🎖 Awarded the National Order of Merit at age 38 and the Legion of Honor at 45.
📚 Author of six books, he founded Éditions Duroi in Quebec and directed several publications in France. In 2023, he published Le Pionnier, a memoir of his international business ventures, also available in English, audio, and digital formats.
🏢 In 2018, he partnered with 1188 Union Inc., a high-end business center in Montreal. His investments, managed in collaboration with experts, span stock markets and real estate.
